Need help sizing a radiator?

Just like at the counter — tell us about your room and we’ll point you in the right direction. Pick the radiator style below to use the correct calculator. We also suggest you confirm with us or a licensed plumber before purchasing.

Radiator / Baseboard Sizing Calculator

Step 1: Calculate room BTUs using ft³ × 4. Step 2: Choose the product type to calculate sections or linear feet.

Cast iron size
  • 19″ and 25″ heights are mostly personal preference, but plan around window height.
  • 19″ radiators are only available in 4-tube.
  • 4-tube ≈ 4.5″ wide, 6-tube ≈ 6⅞″ wide — plan around room footprint.

Runtal Contractor Series Calculator

This tool estimates room BTUs using ft³ × 4, then recommends a Contractor Series length based on published BTU/hr per foot.

Output basis
Uses the published BTU/ft values for the selected basis.
Contractor Series lengths are typically 2’–14’. If your result exceeds 14’, consider splitting across multiple units or selecting a higher-output model.
